The Position: Sales Estimator – Graduate Position
Are you a driven individual with a knack for blending technical and commercial knowledge? Do you possess excellent communication skills and the ambition to ascend in your career? If so, we offer a permanent position with abundant opportunities for professional growth as our Sales Estimator.
In this role, you’ll be diving into a sea of exhilarating responsibilities, from handling inquiries from architects to providing technical information and advising on design development to estimating from tender documents. You’ll be in the driver’s seat, negotiating and liaising with customers, suppliers, and contractors, racing to secure contracts in a complex and fast-paced environment.
You will thrive in this position if you love challenges, have a powerful drive for self-motivation, and enjoy juggling multiple tasks while working under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Securing contracts by quoting prices and lead times in harmony with suppliers
- Offering product and technical information in response to telephone enquiries
- Recording and tracking live enquiries
- Cultivating relationships with customers
- Maintaining close communication with suppliers
Required Qualifications:
- A degree or equivalent experience in an architectural, engineering, or construction-related discipline
Required Skills:
- Capacity to manage a busy workload
- Excellent telephone manners and clear communication
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and technical specifications
- Proficiency in Windows software (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to operate a CRM database and basic CAD
- Clean driving licence
While this role is primarily office-based, be prepared for exciting excursions as you may need to visit architects and sites across the UK.
