Our client is one of Scotland’s oldest family-run companies that work with architects and fabricators to design and supply steel gratings and louvres for wall cladding, screening, balustrading as well as fencing.

They are seeking a Sales Estimator to join their exciting and dynamic team.
 
As a Sales Estimator, you will be responsible for handling a diverse range of activities, including handling enquiries from architects, providing technical information, and estimating from tender documents. You will also be involved in negotiating with customers, suppliers, and contractors in order to win orders. This is a permanent position with considerable responsibility, offering an opportunity for career development for an ambitious individual with technical and commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.
 
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent experience in an architectural, engineering, or construction-related discipline. You should also be able to manage and balance a busy workload, have a good telephone manner and clear communication skills, and be able to read and understand architectural drawings and technical specifications. In addition, you should have experience taking site measurements with simple surveying equipment and be proficient in operating databases, basic CAD, and Windows IT systems.
 
While the job is predominantly office-based, you may be required to visit architects and sites throughout the UK. The Company’s order book is dominated by London but covers the whole of the UK and Ireland. You will be joining a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about what they do.
