Job Title: Finance Officer
Location: Edinburgh
Contract: Temporary (Potential for permanent)
Hours: Part-time, 28 hours a week
Salary: £14 – 18 Ph
AJ Connect is thrilled to be representing a unique charity based in Edinburgh to appoint a Finance Officer on temporary basis.
The charity’s day-to-day accounting and financial administration are the responsibility of the finance officer.
A Finance Officer who is either part qualified or qualified based on experience would be ideal for this exciting temporary part-time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly management accounts, cash flow statement and balance sheet
- Maintain the purchase ledger, recording purchase invoices, checking that these have been coded and approved before entry, BACS payments and creating remittance advices
- Maintain and post the petty cash records
- Calculation of payroll and maintenance of payroll files
- Reconcile all control accounts
- Credit control and dealing with supplier and customer enquiries
Skills & Experience
- Part qualified or qualified by experience
- Diligent and transparent person
- Experience within in a Charity is desirable
- Good knowledge of finance functions
- Experience of management accounts, payroll, transaction processing and budgeting
