Join a leading Food and Beverage Manufacturing company with AJ Connect for a Financial Assistant role in Operations.

JOB TITLE: Finance Assistant – Operations 
LOCATION: Bishop’s Stortford, England
WORK MODEL: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 from home)
SALARY: £30,000 – 33,000 + great benefits

AJ Connect has partnered with a leading, rapidly growing Food and Beverage Manufacturing company to seek a Financial Assistant in Operations. This is a thrilling opportunity to become part of an innovative and dynamic food manufacturing business!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate weekly management reports to help Engineering and Technical managers monitor their expenses.
  • Maintain and update the weekly KPI tracker for the Senior Leadership Team to oversee business performance.
  • Assist the Head of Operations Finance with the periodic Management Accounts and S&OP process.
  • Contribute to the annual Budget process alongside the Head of Operations Finance.
  • Ensure the accuracy and upkeep of product costs on SAP and associated bills of material.
  • Develop processes and enhance SAP reporting and controls.
  • Provide SAP training for all new employees.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated financial acumen with a strong interest in the sector.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with non-financial colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail paired with a curious and inquisitive nature.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Proven ability to work as part of cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.
  • Capable of performing under pressure and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Eagerness to acquire new knowledge and develop new skills.
  • Proficiency in using SAP (or equivalent ERP).
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant finance experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Degree educated (or equivalent).
  • Progress towards a recognized professional qualification from a major UK accountancy body, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent).
