Contract: Part time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000-35,0000, Pro rata
Hours: 22 – 30 hours (3-4 days a week)
AJ Connect is partnering with a unique third sector organisation, based in the city centre to appoint a bookkeeper.
The role will involve the management of the day-to-day accounting function.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Using accounting software, correctly and promptly record all financial transactions.
- Keep track of and reconcile your bank, credit card, and petty currency accounts.
- Prepare and send monthly statements, budget reports, and annual reports as necessary to management.
- Ensure that all financial information is secure and confidential, and keep accurate and up-to-date financial documents.
- Maintain control over accounts due and receivable, including the processing of invoices, the issuance of checks, and the making of deposits.
Skills and Experience
- Accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally in a non-profit setting.
- Excellent accuracy and care to detail.
- Strong time- and project-management abilities.
- The capacity to function both individually and collaboratively.
- Strong vocal and written communication abilities.
- The capacity to handle sensitive information and keep confidentiality.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office and bookkeeping programme Xero
